For many years I have practised travelling in my very personal way. The passion to discover different cultures has brought me, in a roundabout way, to the tasks I am carrying out for many years now: Tour Leader, Tour Guide, Personal Assistant, Tour Attendant and Tour Director. I would like to pass on my knowledge and experience, to afford travellers a memorable holiday on Madagascar.
As a Tour Leader I am responsible for the entire logistics of the journey on Madagascar. Any possible and sometimes very flexible kinds of wishes for the journey need to be catered for. This means, alterations to the routing or in programme do not normally constitute any problems. Very few individual journeys to Madagascar which have been organised in advance, facilitate such flexibility to optimally suit the wishes and expectations of the guests. On arrival at the airport, your travel attendant deals with all formalities: visa, confirmations of bookings, baggage, transports. In my case, I have got absolute freedom of choice in respect of lecturers, local guides and accommodation, independently from any agencies, for which I also perform my duties from time to time. Therefore you can be assured to be cared for by reliable people, and enjoy the best possible accommodation. But this is not all, only the beginning of our mission. I need to provide a certain amount of activities for inexperienced travellers, but also for those with profound knowledge of the country, the prevailing customs and culture, and this is of significance. The insatiable curiosity remains a prime motivation for myself, my unshakeable ability to adapt to changes in a rather laid back way, this is the foundation of this fascinating occupation. Generally, this occupation fascinates primarily beginners, but it is no mean feat to carry it out at constantly high quality, and live from it at the same time. The travel attendant can accompany tourists on very specific tours, the themes on Madagascar are virtually without bounds. Sports activities range from simple walks, or bicycle tours, right through to expeditions, paragliding, as well as support in scientific or study activities. Here too, the variations are nearly infinite.
