I am Passang Tshering. I graduated from Sherubtse College with a degree in B.Com Honors with majors in marketing. Right after my college, I took up professional guiding as a career in 2007. I was always fascinated by how travel and tourism sector works and the endless possibilities it offered to just make a living but also to experience and interact with people from around the world. Therefore it was a natural choice for me to join the growing travel industry in Bhutan.

I have grown up and studied all my life in Bhutan – one of the most exotic and beautiful countries in the world. Some have called it the last Shangri-La while others have called it the happiness kingdom. In all modesty, I have always been proud of my country’s history, culture, tradition, and the rich legacy of the past that we still continue to practice. I am fully aware of the timelessness of my country and its place in world history.

I have been working in the tourism industry in Bhutan for the last 10 years as a fully qualified Tour Guide. In these years, I have gained tremendous experience and insight into the country’s rich heritage. I have spent most of the time leading groups and guiding travelers and helping them experience and understand our rich Buddhist traditions, unique lifestyle and to some extent, hopefully, in deepening their perceptions and appreciation for our country.

My recognized ability to communicate with people from many different backgrounds, cultures and countries has enabled me to lead tour groups with great success and acclaim. I am fluent in English and possess a very good command of the English language.

Now my main career objective is to play a more significant role in promoting Bhutan specifically through tourism, by utilizing my vast experience and knowledge. I am offering travelers a unique and exclusive glimpse of my country, accompanied by me as their personal tour guide in Bhutan. Being flexible, having fun and making sure that my travelers’ get the most from their vacation is my primary focus and goal.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have grown up in a very healthy, middle class family environment here in Bhutan. I have received a very a good education and has been able to actively pursue my career choice with much support from my parents.

Thank you and Tashi Delek!!!
