I am a proud individual, deeply rooted in my Batak heritage and uniquely shaped by growing up on Samosir Island, right in the heart of Lake Toba, North Sumatra. My childhood was steeped in the rich traditions and communal spirit of the Batak people. This means I've been immersed in adat (customary law) from a young age, understanding the intricate social structures of Dalihan Na Tolu, and appreciating the significance of every ceremony, from joyful weddings to solemn funerals.
