Experienced guide showing the heart of Mexico City and beyond. I offer safe, personalized tours of Teotihuacan, historic downtown, Chapultepec, Taxco, Puebla, and more, with insights into history, culture, and local life.
Hello! My name is Arturo, and I am deeply passionate about the history and culture of my country. I have been a professional tour guide for over thirteen years, specializing in historical, cultural, and personalized tourism across Mexico. Every tour I offer is designed to be immersive, enjoyable, and safe, giving visitors not just sights but meaningful stories and connections.

I hold a diploma as a General Tour Guide from the National School of Anthropology and History in Mexico City, as well as a diploma as a Guide Translator from the Association of Guide Translators, Tour Guides, and Tour Managers in Moscow, Russia. I am fluent in English and Russian, with Spanish as my native language, which allows me to connect with travelers from diverse backgrounds and make them feel comfortable and engaged throughout the tour.

Three things fuel my passion: Baroque music, genealogy, and Mexican history. As a guide, I have the privilege of sharing these passions with my travelers. I have explored nearly every corner of Mexico, showing pre-Hispanic cities such as Teotihuacan, the vibrant streets of the historic center of Mexico City, magical towns like Taxco and Puebla, and Mexico’s breathtaking natural landscapes. I also guided visitors in Russia, sharing the treasures of Moscow with travelers from all over the world.

My goal is to make every tour relaxed and enjoyable. I never rush my guests. I always allow time for exploration, questions, and meaningful interactions. I am happy to assist with photos, provide local tips, or adjust the pace according to your needs. Patience, attention to detail, and dedication are at the core of my service, ensuring that every guest leaves with memories and insights they will cherish.

Beyond guiding, I have a background as an opera singer, performing both as a soloist and with some of Mexico’s most renowned choirs, as well as in Europe. I dedicate much of my time to rescuing, transcribing, and performing European and New Spanish Baroque music. I have participated in film projects, contributing as an actor in a Mexican film and as part of the soundtrack in a Brazilian production.

I am also a professional genealogist. I have traced my family tree back to the 16th century, discovering that many of my ancestors played significant roles in New Spain. I have written two books about my ancestors, exploring their lives and contributions, which allows me to share stories that intertwine personal, local, and national history in a vivid and meaningful way. This expertise gives my tours a unique depth, connecting historical events to real families and real lives.

I love bringing history to life through stories, anecdotes, and insights that you won’t find in guidebooks. My tours are more than sightseeing; they are journeys through time, culture, and human experience. I aim to provide a full understanding of the heritage of each site, from ancient pyramids to colonial architecture, from traditional music to the people who shaped the history of Mexico.

It would be an honor to be your guide and show you the Mexico that often goes unnoticed, the Mexico I am proud of and want every visitor to experience. Together, we can explore its history, culture, and beauty in a way that is authentic, memorable, and uniquely tailored to you.
