I am Julius, a local freelancer safari guide and driver in Kenya with over 30yrs experience.
I am a safari programme planner ranging from a few days to several weeks. I organize tours for individuals, couples, families or groups.
I organize transport on 4x4 tour converted safari landcruizers. I manage park entry ticketing and all associayed paperwork.
I recommend hotels, camps and lodges best suited for any programme.
I contact and manage other local guides who offer us excursion experiences eg cycling, hiking, trekking mountain climbing, birdwatching, boatrides, cultural village trips etc.
I am on 24/7 contact
I followup on all other aspects of the safari from end to end.
Clients may choose to do for themselves the hotel booking, train, taxis, local flights etc.
I charge for my services as a tour planner, tour costing, tour executition and as your dedicated driver guide available 24/7.

1. QUALIFICATIONS:
Am a BSc graduate holder of Wildlife Management having graduated with an upper second class of 1991.
2. WORK EXPERIENCE:
Mountaineering Guide:
Due to my love for nature and outdoor activities, I started my first tour guide job as a trekking and mountaineering guide (Mt Kenya) leading groups scaling the 4,895m asl as well as series of mountain ranges of central Kenya for 5yrs.
2. Naturalist, Serena Hotels:
Hired and worked for a FIVE STAR multinational chain of hotels and resorts as a resident Naturalist, transport manager as well as guest relations officer for a period of 12 years within their properties in various Kenyan National Parks, Game reserves and Rhino sanctuaries eg Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Tsavo, Samburu and Olpejeta conservancy.
3. TOUR GUIDANCE:
As a tour leader / English speaking travel guidance:
I have been Leading and Managing various Dutch and Belgium groups for both CAMPING as well as hotel groups for their 15 days Kenya and Tanzania experience while on customized OVERLAND trucks.
I have also been Leading and Managing Dutch and Belgium tour groups of upto 18 person for 22 days of across Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar travel experience also on customized OVERLAND trucks

Am an enthusiastic bird watcher and have been a bird guide for interested individuals and small groups over time.
5. TOUR DRIVER GUIDE:
Tour guide driving experience with Kenyan tour customized safari landcruisers for individuals as well as small groups from diverse European origin across Kenyan overtime.
6. HIGH SCHOOL CLASS TEACHER:
Had a privilege of being pre/post university class teacher majoring in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics for two years.
7. LICENSING:
1. Am a Kenyan Tour Guide authorized operator by Tourism Regulatory Authority (TRA).
2. Approved by National Transport And Safety Authority (NTSA) as a licensed Kenyan Tour guide driver.
3. Holder of a Kenyan Drivers Licence.
4. Holder of a Kenyan/East African Passport.
5. Tanzanian Work Permit:
I do seasonal renewal for work permit while operating in Tanzania as a Tour Leader.
6. Yellow fever certificate.
