My services include:

• Guided hikes and safaris (Kahuzi-Biega National Park, Virunga, etc.)
• Cultural and historical visits
• Island and lake tours (Idjwi Island, Lake Kivu)
• Local food experiences and village immersion
• Transport and logistics support throughout your trip
Every tour is tailored to your interests, time, and budget. My goal is to ensure that you feel safe, inspired, and deeply connected to the places you visit.
Let’s explore East Africa together – with knowledge, passion, and professionalism.
My name is Samuel Bahati Nyandwi, an experienced and multilingual tour guide, eco-tourism entrepreneur, and sustainable travel advocate based in the heart of East Africa. With a strong academic background and hands-on experience in tourism, communication, and environmental management, I specialize in organizing meaningful, educational, and memorable travel experiences across Burundi, Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, and South Sudan.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Environment Management and Tourism, and I am currently completing a Master’s degree in Environment Management and Sustainable Development. My academic work focuses on sustainable tourism models and environmental protection, including a thesis project on the design and implementation of a CO₂ emissions control system — a reflection of my strong commitment to climate-friendly travel practices.
Over the past years, I have worked with multiple organizations in the tourism and education sectors. I previously served as a Marketing and Website Manager and Secretary to the Rector’s Cabinet at the International University of New Technologies (UNITECH), where I led digital communication, institutional branding, and academic coordination. I also volunteered as a Front Office Receptionist at Red Rocks Rwanda, a community-based tourism NGO, where I gained practical experience in customer service, guest management, and cultural immersion.
I am the founder of Digital Eco Tourism Services, an agency that promotes responsible tourism in East Africa through tailored tours, local collaborations, and eco-friendly practices. I organize trips that combine nature, culture, and education — whether it’s exploring the breathtaking landscapes of Kahuzi-Biega National Park, enjoying peaceful retreats on Idjwi Island, discovering heritage sites in Gitega, trekking in the volcano-rich region of Goma, experiencing the vibrant atmosphere of Kampala, or visiting cultural communities in South Sudan.
Here’s what I offer:
• City tours (Bujumbura, Kigali, Goma, Bukavu, Kampala, Juba)
• Nature hikes and safaris (Virunga, Kahuzi-Biega, Lake Tanganyika region)
• Cultural and historical tours (Royal Drums Sanctuary, genocide memorials, artisan villages)
• Island and lake adventures (Lake Kivu, Idjwi Island)
• Community-based tourism and traditional arts experiences
• Transport logistics, accommodation coordination, and local guiding
I speak French and Swahili fluently, and I have intermediate English proficiency (IELTS certified, 5.5 band). My language skills, combined with my interpersonal abilities, allow me to serve a wide range of international guests with care and cultural sensitivity.
My mission is to share East Africa’s natural beauty, cultural wealth, and human warmth with the world — in a way that uplifts local communities, respects the environment, and creates lifelong memories for travelers.
Let’s explore East Africa together, responsibly, deeply, and joyfully.
