Discover Albania with me as your national tour guide! I offer cultural day tours through historic cities, UNESCO World Heritage sites, and breathtaking natural wonders—giving you an authentic experience of Albania’s rich history, culture, and landscapes.
Hello and welcome! My name is Franko! and I am a licensed professional tour guide in Albania, passionate about sharing the beauty, history, and traditions of my homeland with visitors from all around the world. My journey into guiding began from a very personal fascination with history, culture, and storytelling—a fascination that later turned into a lifelong vocation.
I hold a degree in Archaeological Tourism Management, which I pursued both in Albania and abroad. This academic background has given me a solid foundation in history, archaeology, cultural heritage, and sustainable tourism practices. Through my studies, I learned how to connect the dots between the past and the present, and how to interpret Albania’s fascinating heritage in ways that bring sites and stories to life for travelers. I also had the chance to expand my knowledge internationally, where I explored different approaches to tourism, cultural preservation, and visitor experience—perspectives I now apply to my work every day.
Over the years, I have had the privilege to guide diverse groups: from solo travelers and families, to cultural enthusiasts, students, and professionals. Each tour is tailored not just to show places, but to create meaningful experiences. I lead tours through Albania’s most iconic sites such as the lively coastal city of Durrës, the UNESCO World Heritage town of Berat, and the historic fortress city of Kruja, famous for its national hero, Skanderbeg. But beyond these highlights, I also love introducing travelers to hidden gems—remote villages, scenic landscapes, and authentic local traditions that few visitors get to see.
My expertise lies in cultural and historical tours, but I also design experiences that combine nature, gastronomy, and adventure. Albania is a country of contrasts—majestic mountains, crystal-clear seas, ancient ruins, and vibrant modern life—and I believe each traveler deserves to experience this diversity in an authentic and enjoyable way.
As a guide, I see myself as both a storyteller and a bridge. I strive to connect people with places, history with the present, and visitors with locals. My approach is warm, professional, and flexible—I listen carefully to what my guests are looking for and adapt tours to meet their interests and pace. Whether you are curious about archaeology, eager to try traditional cuisine, or simply wish to enjoy the natural wonders of Albania, I am here to make your journey unforgettable.
Guiding, for me, is more than just a job—it is a calling. It is about hospitality, learning, and cultural exchange. I look forward to welcoming you to Albania, walking with you through its ancient stones and vibrant streets, and helping you discover why this country is so special. Together, let’s create memories that will last!
