Our unforgettable journey begins at 09:00 in the heart of Yerevan. During a relaxing city walk, you will discover the fascinating architecture and rich history of Armenia’s capital. We will stroll through lively streets, admire historic landmarks, and explore both the modern and ancient faces of Yerevan while learning about its 2800-year-old story. After the city tour, we will head to Armenia’s spiritual centre — Etchmiadzin. Our first stop will be the beautiful St. Hripsime Church, a masterpiece of early medieval Armenian architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you will learn about the touching story of Saint Hripsime and the early Christian heritage of Armenia.
We will then visit the majestic Mother Cathedral of Etchmiadzin, the spiritual heart of Armenian Christians and one of the oldest cathedrals in the world. During the guided tour, you will hear fascinating stories about Armenia becoming the first nation to adopt Christianity as a state religion in 301 AD.
Afterwards, we will enjoy a traditional Armenian lunch at a local guesthouse. Here you will not only taste authentic homemade dishes but also take part in a masterclass of traditional Armenian cooking with local hosts. Discover the secrets of national cuisine and experience true Armenian hospitality.
Our journey continues to the magnificent ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral (7th century), another UNESCO World Heritage Site. The impressive remains of this circular cathedral tell the story of Armenia’s golden age of architecture and offer breathtaking views of Mount Ararat on clear days.
In the late afternoon, we return to Yerevan, filled with unforgettable impressions of culture, history, spirituality, and authentic local traditions.
