Just 20 kilometers from the capital, we arrive in Echmiadzin, the heart of the Armenian Apostolic Church and one of the country’s holiest sites.
Our first stop is the Church of Saint Hripsime, an architectural gem from the 7th century and part of the UNESCO World Heritage. Within its serene and solemn walls, you can feel the deep spirituality that has shaped Armenia for centuries.
We then continue to the Mother Cathedral of Echmiadzin, built in the year 303 – the first official Christian church in the world. Here, where history and faith unite, we will also visit the Echmiadzin Museum, which houses sacred relics and artistic treasures of Armenian Christianity.
After these inspiring moments, we take a relaxing break and enjoy a delicious lunch in a stylish garden restaurant, decorated with Armenian color, traditional art, and cultural elements. The warm atmosphere and genuine hospitality make this stop a true feast for the senses.
In the afternoon, our journey continues to the Aragatsotn region, where the landscape unfolds in rocky hills and sun-drenched vineyards. We visit the Wine Museum, which takes us on a fascinating journey through 6,000 years of Armenian winemaking history.
The highlight of the day awaits at a romantic winery, nestled among lush vineyards. During a guided tour, we learn interesting facts about winemaking, and of course, a tasting of fine wines is not to be missed – a delightful experience for both body and soul!
With wonderful impressions, new aromas, and warm memories, we return to Yerevan in the evening. This journey beautifully combines culture, history, and culinary pleasures – an experience that will stay with you for a long time.
