At Out 'n' About Cape Tours, we provide affordable tours of Cape Town for the LGBT traveler, however not exclusively. Run by husbands Johan and Craig, we pride ourselves in providing friendly, cost effective full and half day as well as bespoke tours of the beautiful Mother City and its surrounds that are catered to our client’s needs.
I am passionate about providing affordable and enjoyable tours of Cape Town and its surrounds. Born and bred in the Cape Flats, I started my career as a Business Studies teacher at Elsies River High School in Cape Town. In 2001, I grabbed the opportunity to move to the UK where I secured a Head of Department teaching post in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire where I stayed for 15 years.
After only one week in the UK, I met Craig and we soon became a couple. When same-sex marriage finally was legalised in the UK in 2015, we were married.
During my time in the UK, I travelled extensively around Europe and America. However, I found that I always returned to where my heart is – Cape Town. I now have retrained as a Tourist Guide, and is looking forward to meeting you and showing you the delights of the Mother City.
