The Omo tribes are living in the most remot corners of Ethiopia mostly borderd with kenya in the south. They are about 17 ethinic groups with their unique cultures, tradations, beliefs, rituals and way of llife,. They live in separate villages divided by different clans. Some of the tribes in this route are:- The Mursi, Hamer, Bena, Tsemay, Konso, Dorze, Karo, Erbore, Dassenech and more.

Under this tour travelers can explore unique cultures of different ethinic groups of Omo valley tribes with their own way of llife, villages, ritual activities, colourful market days and other tribal practices. These ethinic groups are living in the remote region of Ethiopia reached by both flight and car. Some of the tribes in this route are:- The Mursi, Hamer, Bena, Tsemay, Konso, Dorze, Karo, Erbore, Dassenech and more.

ITINERARY :

Day 1- Addis Ababa.

Arrive Addis Ababa at Bole int'l airport then transfer hotel. Balance of the day, take city tour and visit National Musuem where the 3.2 million years old fossil of Lucy and other objects are located, mount Entoto, Markato, the largest and buiest open-air market in Africa and so on. O/n hotel.
Day 2- Addis Ababa- Arbaminch.
Breakfast then drive to Arbaminch with stop at Tiya cemetery archeological site. After lunch in Sodo town, proceed to Dorze village where the Dorze tribes are living. O/n lodge
Day 3 -Arbamunch-Turmi
After breakfast,, embark on for a boat ride over lake Chamo to see Hippos and African crocodiles then drvie to Konso village for lunch. More drive to Turmi village crossing villages of Tsemay and Bena tribes, at same time stop at any available market places on the way. O/n lodge
Day 4- Turmi
The whole day in Turmi. In the morning, day tip to Koricho and Nyangatom villages. Take breakfast and drive to first Nyangatom then Koricho villages to visit the Karo people who are known for body paintings and scarifications. Back to Turmi for lunch, then after noon, visit Hamer village and attend on Bull jumping ceremony. O/n lodge.
Day 5- Turmi- Omorate- Jinka
Breakfat and drive to Omorate to visit the Dassench people living on the other side of Omo river which is close to the Kenyan border. Return to Turmi for lunch then heading to Jinka with stop over at any avaiable market places. O/n Hotel (basic)
Day 6- Turmi-Jinka.
After breakfatst drive to Mago National park to visit the Mursi people who are unique among Omo valley tribes. The Mursi Women are noted for lip plate inscertion as a personal beauty while men are known for stick fighting ritual, a passage from childhood to manhood age grade system. Back to Jinka for lunch then proceed to Konso village. O/n lodge

Day 7- Konso-Awass

After breakfast, visit konso village where Konso people are living. The village has listed under UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site due to its agricultural terracing fields and lybriethine walk ways in the village itself. Then continue to Awassa with lunch break in Arbaminch or Sodo towns. O/n lodge

Day 8 - Awassa-Addis Ababa.
In the morning, go to Awassa fish market then head to Abijata-Shalla lakes national park to see few mamals and different specie's birds. Lunch in Ziway then moreb drive to Addis Ababa. After farewell dinner at tradational restaurants where you will local dishes and folkloric dances, transfer to airport for your flight homeward. End of our service.
