I’m Hendra Arkan from Yogyakarta, a guide who blends a science mindset (cognitive) with creative storytelling to offer truly unique travel experiences.
With a Physics background and fluent English, I connect effortlessly with visitors from around the world. My diverse background—from tutoring and counseling to coaching basketball and community work—gives me a special ability to engage and inspire all kinds of travelers.
As an artist who moves from traditional watercolor to experimental art, I bring fresh creativity and curiosity to every tour, revealing Indonesia’s hidden stories, authentic culture and it's present condition. My approach is personal, immersive, multisensory and designed to make each journey memorable and meaningful beyond the usual tourist paths and experience.
Hi, I’m Hendra Arkan from Yogyakarta. With a background in science and a love for storytelling, I’ve been sharing Indonesia’s amazing culture and sights with travelers for years. I studied Physics at Gadjah Mada University and speak English fluently, so I’m comfortable communicating with visitors from all over the world.
I’ve worked as a tour guide, private tutor, and student counselor, which helped me connect well with people of all ages and backgrounds. My experience coaching local basketball teams and working with community groups also taught me creative ways to inspire and support others.
Art is a big part of who I am—I started with watercolor and now explore experimental styles, always inspired by the everyday life around me. I bring this creativity and curiosity into my tours, making each experience unique and personal. Whether it’s history, nature, or culture, I love helping travelers experience the real Indonesia beyond the usual spots.
I’m passionate about making every tour fun, meaningful, and memorable, sharing stories that connect you deeper with the places we visit.
