I'm Javi, a local guide in Granada and a lover of culture, gastronomy, and history. I lead immersive walks through the Alhambra, Albaicín, Sacromonte, and the old town, sharing stories, hidden gems, and tips so you experience the city like a true local.
My name is Javi, and I’ve been a local guide in Granada since 2016. Born in the Costa Tropical, I know the province in depth—from its historic heart to its coastal landscapes—allowing me to help visitors enjoy Granada to the fullest through culture, nature, and unique local flavours.
As a Tourism graduate and a passionate lover of Islamic history, I enjoy sharing how the legacy of Al-Andalus shaped our architecture, traditions, and way of life. Walking through the Albaicín or around the old Nasrid paths, I highlight how this past still influences Granada today. My fascination began in childhood and has grown into a deep appreciation for the art, science, poetry, and symbolism that flourished here during the Islamic period.
Being from the Costa Tropical also means I bring another layer to my tours: the flavours of the province. I love introducing visitors to our wines, olive oils, tropical fruits, and even the local sugar-cane rum that has been part of our identity for generations. Whether through recommendations or tailored experiences, I enjoy helping travellers connect with Granada using all their senses.
I’ve guided countless English-speaking groups, adapting every tour to each person's curiosity—whether they want historical insight, hidden corners, panoramic views, or an authentic taste of local culture. My aim is always to create enjoyable, engaging experiences that feel personal and meaningful.
Guiding is more than showing places; it’s sharing the soul of my land. With stories, flavours, legends, and genuine local knowledge, I help visitors experience Granada not just as a destination, but as a vibrant, living world.
