Cannaregio is one of Venice’s most authentic and lesser-known districts. This two-hour walking tour begins in the historic (former) Jewish Ghetto, the first of its kind in Europe. Here, you'll learn about the Jewish community's life now and then in Venice.

You will then delve into the quiet magic of Cannaregio, wandering through peaceful side streets and into a secret private garden —a green oasis even many Venetians have never seen. The stillness here, right in the heart of the city, is truly surprising.

A special highlight is a visit to a Murano glass bead artist, who will demonstrate the delicate craftsmanship of glassmaking and explain the centuries-old techniques behind this fiery art. Watch as tiny works of art are created from sand, flame, and color.

We’ll continue on to the magnificent Church of Madonna dell'Orto, home to masterpieces by Tintoretto, who is also buried here. Its Gothic façade and tranquil atmosphere make it one of the most spiritual places in Venice.

You’ll hear legends and tales that swirl around curious statues and decorations.

This tour offers you a glimpse into the Venice of the locals – full of history and hidden wonders.
