Through years of dedication and a deep passion for viticulture, I have honed my expertise to become an experienced specialist Wine Guide. My extensive knowledge goes beyond the average, allowing me to enrich your journey through breathtaking vistas, enchanting aromas, and nostalgic echoes. But I don't only do Wine Tours - as a qualified Tour Guide, I handle scenic and long-distance South African tours.
My education and life experience allows a deeper understanding of the history, culture, geography, and social structures of South Africa, which I impart in an easy interaction with you, the tourist.
My interest in wine dates back to the early days of the Cape Wine Routes. Inspired by innovative wine estates, I developed a deep appreciation for wine and its culture, building a significant wine cellar. To formalize my expertise, I earned a Cape Wine Academy Certificate.
My long-term business relationship with Kim, another highly talented Wine & Tour Guide, has greatly enhanced my knowledge, leading to an additional qualification as a cultural and historical tour guide.
By earning several University degrees in diverse subjects such as Geography, Geology, African History, Sociology and Anthropology I have a unique take on the past and current status of the Cape & South Africa in general. Because of this foundation, I am proud to possess an extensive understanding of the Cape, including its history, geography, geology, sociology, and anthropology.
