Culture, Spirituality & Tradition
Our unforgettable Christmas journey begins at 13:00 in the heart of Yerevan. During a relaxing city walk, you will discover the fascinating architecture and rich history of the Armenian capital. We will wander through lively streets, admire historic buildings, and immerse ourselves in the festive atmosphere that fills Yerevan during the Christmas season.
Afterwards, we head to the spiritual centre of Armenia — Etchmiadzin, where you will have the opportunity to attend the solemn Christmas Eve liturgy. Our first stop is the unique ruins of the Zvartnots Cathedral (7th century), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These impressive remains tell the story of early Christian Armenia and bring centuries of history to life.
We then continue to the majestic Mother Cathedral of Etchmiadzin, the spiritual heart of Armenian Christians. During the guided tour, you will hear fascinating stories about the cathedral’s origins and the adoption of Christianity in Armenia. We will take part in the Christmas service and experience the deep, sacred atmosphere of the liturgy.
The evening concludes with a festive Christmas dinner featuring traditional Armenian dishes. Enjoy the rich flavours of the local cuisine in a warm, celebratory setting, share your impressions, and reflect on the day before returning to Yerevan.
