I'm a freelance tour guide since 1996, having a PAN India Platinum card guide license and a Five star badge issued by the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India.
My academic background may appear quite interesting for many. I did my graduation in Geology but my mind did not allow me to continue further in the same field as I felt during the course of my graduation program that the subject was too dry for me. So I chose Sociology as my subject for post-graduation, a subject and field that appealed to my interests.
And it was after my studies in Sociology, that I was attracted to the field of Tourism. So in the year 1994, I joined for the Destination Management Program, conducted by the Kerala Institute of Tourism and Travel Studies ( KITTS ), a reputed government institute which conducts tourism studies in Kerala. I’ve got the First Rank in that course and was also adjudged as the outstanding student of that program. After the successful completion of that guide training program, I have received my First state level guiding license issued by the Department of Tourism, government of Kerala, in the year 1995, to work as a freelance tour guide in Kerala.
I’ve started my career as a tour executive by joining in the tour section of a popular inbound tour operation company, and was in charge of making itineraries and its execution. I’ve also taken care of guide service requirements of the company during that period. This experience as a guide with those clients has given me the required confidence to work as a freelance tour guide later.
My career as a freelance tour guide started in 1996 and at the moment I am holding a PAN India Platinum card guide license and a five star badge issued by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, which is the highest level of guide license issued by the Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India.

Since I believe in some of the teachings of our great Indian philosophy, I consider my clients as my Soul connections and my guiding service as my Karma ! So for me, this guiding job I do is not just a job. It's my passion. And every time I get a client, it's an opportunity for me to improve my Karma. Perhaps that is the reason why I'm always ready to go that extra mile with a smile !!
