TO MAKE New Delhi COME ALIVE...
You’re planning a trip to New Delhi. So much to see and so little time. You want a tour to be fun, informative and customised to your own requirements. Just let me know when you’re coming, and what you’d like to see.
I can then provide you with an itinerary that makes the most of my guiding services, saves you hours of planning, and maximises your sightseeing time. You’ll be amazed at how much we can see on our tour. I’m a native New Delhi who loves my city and loves to share my knowledge about it. It will be such a pleasure to tell you stories throughout the tour that will bring New Delhi’s rich heritage to life.
As a professional Tourist Guide, I am able to guide inside the major attractions such as Qutub Minar, Red Fort, and the India Gate of New Delhi. In some cases, I can even get us fast-tracked inside.
If museums are your thing, I can show you the highlights of some of our great museums and galleries: National Gallery, Nehru Planetarium (just next), Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum, Gandhi Smriti, Lodhi Gardens and Rajpath are in 250 meter to 4 km radius of Teen Murti Bhavan..
With my years of experience, I can also take you off the Purana Qila where New Delhi will reveal layers of its rich history and bind you in its spell
I call my tours ‘walking tours’ because New Delhi is best experienced using all of the senses, and on foot. In practice, we use a combination of walking, public transport, and taxis. It’s up to you how much you wish to walk.
A Perfect Day in New Delhi
If it’s your first time in New Delhi you’ll most likely want to ensure that you get to see the most important sights first. It can seem overwhelming. But here’s the thing: In just ONE two-hour walking tour you can see (from the outside) all these famous attractions:
Rajghat
Red Fort
Jama Masjid
Humayun Tomb
Lotus Temple
Qutub Minar
India Gate & Rashtrapati Bhawan
Gurudwara Bangla Sahib
Laxminarayan Temple
Shri Digambar Jain Lal Mandir
Iskcon Temple Delhi
Lodhi Gardens
Teen Murti Bhavan
On top of that, we can include an enthralling tour of the extraordinary Connaught Place. So we make a 4-hour tour.
We could squeeze all of this in a 6-hour tour if you’re short of time, or just like things speedy.
But if you prefer me to meet you at your hotel and take the tour at a more leisurely pace, perhaps stopping for a pub lunch, this will make an 8-hour tour.
Remember, this is just one suggestion for a New Delhi-in-a-day type tour. There is much more to see, and I want us to plan your tour according to what YOU want to see.
All my clients have different ideas. You might have a tour of the Qutub Minar at the top of your list or a visit to the National Gallery. Perhaps a tour of the Red Fort, or see a completely different aspect in New Delhi’s NCR (Gurgaon and Noida).
I customise my tours according to your wishes. You just have to tell me what they are.
I charge US$40 for half day (4 hours) and $75 for full day (8 hrs)
The prices quoted for my tours are for my guiding services only. Transportation, meals, and admissions to sites are not included.
I am happy to meet you at your hotel to start the tour, but if you wish to maximise your sightseeing time - particularly for 4-hour tours - you may prefer to meet me at a central point to start the tour.
