Kids are welcomed but my tours are tailored for adults and mature teenagers.
My name is Francesco and I am a Florentine.
Florence is and has always been, the centre and focus of my life. This is the city where I was born and raised, where I studied Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University, where I got married and where I became a father. I lived and worked in Paris and in London then I started teaching in schools for foreign students.
In 1993, I won the Tourist Guide License in a public competition (14th out of more than a thousand of candidates) and in that moment, my passion became my job. Since then, I have spent a big portion of my life studying the Art and History of Florence, sharing the love of my city with my family and friends.
I do my best to convey in my tours the passionate vision of my city, its Art, History, Economy, Tradition and of the life of those Florentines who played such an important role in the creation of the modern world.
There was a time when Florence was "the school of the world" and is that time I would like for you to learn more about, making it alive, lending my words to the silent testimonials of that glorious era, in the museums, in the squares and in the streets of the city.
