Arrival in Nara

We
will take the Kintetsu Express Train from Kyoto Station to Nara. This
train is particularly comfortable and there are very few people on it.
You are guaranteed a lovely journey with fantastic views.

Gangoji Temple

Gangoji
Temple - It is one of the most significant temples in Nara. People from
all over the world visit it. We will find a moment of peace there and
have time to pray or meditate. It is also possible to write down wishes
that may one day come true. It is an incredibly beautiful temple.

Nanendo Temple

Nanendo
Temple - This Temple is an octagon-shaped pagoda which is the largest
in Japan. It is a Temple that is definitely worth a visit.

Kōfukuji Temple

This
is a Temple complex that houses many national treasures and cultural
assets. The teachings of the Buddha are also propagated there within the
Hossō school.

Nara Park

At
this beautiful and large Park, we will see lots of deer, which we can
also feed with "shika senbei". These deer are everywhere in Nara and are
a real tourist attraction.

Sanshutei Tea House / Café

We
will stop for a break at this wonderful old café. We’ll have an
absolutely stunning view of the Isuien Garden whilst enjoying a cup of
matcha or a bite to eat. You will feel as though you’ve stepped into
another world

Yoshikien Garden

In
this enchanting garden, we are sure to find peaceful moments to relax;
it is an incredibly beautiful traditional Garden complex with Tea
houses.

Isuien Garden and Neiraku Museum

The
Isuien Garden is a beautiful Zen garden, you will feel again as though
you are in a completely different world. In my opinion, it is the most
beautiful garden in Nara. We will also be visiting a museum there where
you will see some incredibly beautiful art.

Nandaimon Gate and Tōdai-ji

We
will see the largest entrance gate in Japan as well as the largest
Buddha statue in the world. It is a very unique experience.

Mount Wakakusa

In
this idyllic spot, we have plenty of opportunities to stroke the deer
and enjoy the beautiful grassy landscape. It’s a place that’s simply too
beautiful for words.

Kasugataisha Shrine

It
is one of Japan’s most important Shinto Shrines. It is best known for
its thousands of lanterns and its location in Nara Park. It is a UNESCO
World Heritage Site. We will see lots of deer there and enjoy many
relaxing moments there.

Manyou Botanical Garden (Optional)

It is the oldest and most important botanical garden in Japan, home to around 300 plant species.
