Hello! I’m Sanjay, a passionate storyteller and cinematographer from the vibrant city of Mumbai. My journey has been a colorful one—I was born in Kolkata, spent three years in the spiritual heart of Varanasi, another two in the serene Bodh Gaya, three more in bustling Delhi, and for the past 20 years, I’ve called Mumbai my home. I also have a deep connection to South Goa, which feels like my second home away from home.
As a freelance cinematographer, I find inspiration in every corner of life. Whether it’s traveling, cooking, photography, writing, or exploring digital arts, my creative pursuits are endless. I’m also deeply passionate about meditation and storytelling, constantly seeking new perspectives and stories through my lens. Documentaries are a guilty pleasure of mine, and I can spend hours immersed in them, always eager to uncover new narratives wherever I go.
I cherish my time spent with children who come from underprivileged backgrounds, sharing my knowledge with them and teaching them basic life skills. Over the years, I’ve traveled across India for work and adventure—sometimes with film crews, sometimes solo, and sometimes with friends from Germany, Japan, Canada, and Switzerland. For 16 years, I’ve explored the length and breadth of India, soaking in the wisdom of fellow travelers and the incredible variety of experiences that this land offers.
During my travels, I’ve met many visitors from around the world who’ve come to India relying on guidebooks like Lonely Planet, excited to discover its famous cities and landmarks. But I’ve always felt that India is so much more than what’s in those pages. Meeting these travelers gave me the perfect opportunity to share the “real India”—its rich stories, deep culture, and hidden gems that aren’t always in the spotlight. This passion for authentic experiences naturally evolved into a beloved hobby as a tour guide.
For me, being a tour guide isn’t just about showing people beautiful places; it’s about creating meaningful cross-cultural connections, breaking down barriers, and offering unique moments that go beyond the ordinary. My Mumbai tour reflects this. It’s a deep dive into the city’s cultural richness, its fascinating history, diverse architecture, vibrant streets, and the dynamic energy that makes Mumbai come alive.
