I offer authentic and personalized travel experiences throughout Mauritania, including Iron Ore Train adventures, Sahara Desert expeditions, cultural tours, historical city visits, and tailor-made itineraries. Whether you’re interested in exploring the ancient libraries of Chinguetti, camping under the stars in the Adrar region, visiting the Eye of the Sahara (Richat Structure), or experiencing local nomadic culture, I can help create a journey that matches your interests.
My services include trip planning, guiding, transportation arrangements, accommodation booking, translation and interpretation, airport transfers, and practical travel support throughout your stay in Mauritania.
Hello, my name is Ahmed Nayett, and I am a local guide, tour operator, and professional interpreter based in Nouakchott, Mauritania.
Before entering the tourism industry, I worked as a military and medical interpreter, supporting international security, civil affairs, and training programs. This background helped me develop strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills while working in demanding environments. I also completed medical interpretation training through the University of Minnesota and have received professional recognition for my work with international organizations.
My passion for travel and Mauritanian culture led me to create Come To Mauritania, where I help travelers discover one of Africa’s most fascinating and least-visited destinations. Over the years, I have traveled extensively throughout the country, exploring destinations such as Chinguetti, Ouadane, Terjit Oasis, Atar, the Richat Structure (Eye of the Sahara), the Iron Ore Train route, and many remote areas of the Sahara Desert.
I specialize in personalized tours, cultural experiences, desert expeditions, Iron Ore Train adventures, photography trips, and custom itineraries. Whether you are a solo traveler, a couple, or a group, I focus on creating authentic experiences while ensuring safety, comfort, and smooth logistics.
What I enjoy most is helping visitors connect with local people, understand Mauritanian culture, and experience places that many travelers never get the chance to see. My goal is not only to be a guide but also to help guests feel welcomed, informed, and confident throughout their journey.
I look forward to sharing the beauty, history, and hospitality of Mauritania with you.
